In order to maintain law and order in the district, Article 36 is applicable

During this period, not to disturb the public peace and order, and also to issue appropriate restrictions and instructions regarding behavior in public places, playing of musical instruments, organizing meetings and processions, fixing roads there, using loud speakers are being provided to all police station officers in Chandrapur district. District Superintendent of Police Ravindra Singh Pardeshi has informed.

These are the powers of Police Station Officer-in-Charge :

Right to give proper instructions regarding the behavior of people in processions and meeting places, to determine the route and time of the procession and to restrict the behavior of people near places of religious worship, to order that processions will not be disturbed and also to restrict the behavior of people in places of religious worship, to play musical instruments on public roads and in public places. , power to impose restrictions on singing of songs, beating of drums etc., power to issue directions for maintaining order in streets and all other public places, power to impose restrictions and limitations on sounding of loud speakers in public places, streets, and also Sections 33, 35, 37 to 40, 42, 43 And 45 of the Bombay Police Act is providing power to enforce orders and issue notices.

When the said order is in force, permission should be taken from the concerned Thane official for holding meetings, playing musical instruments in processions, playing loud speakers, raising slogans in processions, determining the route and time of processions. In all cases the instructions given by the Police Station Officer-in-Charge as well as all Police Officers below him should be followed. The order issued by Superintendent of Police Ravindrasinh Pardeshi states that the said order will be effective from 12 midnight on October 15 to 12 midnight on October 29, 2023.
