Fascinating performance by artists of Maharashtra at the ‘India Mela’ event in Japan
Kowe (Japan): ‘I’ and ‘J’ are the two closest letters in the English alphabet. ‘I’ stands for India and ‘J’ stands for Japan. Like alphabets, India and Japan are close to each other. Expressing the belief that on the occasion of ‘India Mela’, the friendship between these two countries will strengthen and together they will reach new heights of progress. Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar expressed.
He was speaking at the inaugural function of India Mela, an event organized to promote art and food culture between India and Japan, in Kobe, Japan. On this occasion, High Commissioner of Japan Sivijaz, Kobayashi Deputy Mayor Kajunri Uhara, Tejasiniyamshita, Nikhilesh Gauri Ram Kalani, Bhaven Zaveri, Johnny Lalwani of Chamber of Commerce, Principal Secretary of Culture Department Vikas Kharge etc. were present on the stage.
He said, first the rays of the sun fall on the country of Japan; This is the first country to see the sun. Our India, home to the Sun Temple at Konark, has always maintained friendly relations with Sun-worshipping Japan. India and Japan have had a very loving relationship from a spiritual perspective. Buddhism came from India to Japan, with the message of ‘No War, Buddha Hava’ meaning ‘Live and Live’; Japan has consistently tried to convey this idea to the homes and hearts of Japan; In which they have succeeded.
Speaking in fluent Hindi and his distinctive style, Mungantiwar said, ‘Another important reason why I am attracted to Japan is that it is the country that supported Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, who fought for the country during the pre-independence period of India. The temple of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in Tokyo is a testimony to this and I respect and feel proud of Japan. Culture and tradition is the art of living. Wealth is the means of material satisfaction of man whereas culture is the best means of mental satisfaction. That is why even the United Nations is defining the happiness of a country on the basis of how good it is rather than how rich it is, he said.
Mungantiwar’s opening speech in Japanese : Sudhir Mungantiwar started the speech in Japanese. On this occasion, those present responded by clapping and welcoming Mungantiwar. In his speech on this occasion, Mungantiwar said that he was very happy to have the opportunity to meet the Japanese brothers, he was happy to have the privilege to interact with all of them.
Pride of Maharashtra: There are 193 nations in the world, but Maharashtra is one, and we are proud of it, said Mungantiwar. As the minister of the state, I am very happy that the cultural programs of Maharashtra are being presented in Japan. I congratulate the artists of Maharashtra for performing with great enthusiasm: It is a pleasure to see the joy and enthusiasm on the faces of art lovers in Kobe, Japan because of their program, he said.
