Service and security camp as well as health check up of employees
Chandrapur : Cleaning workers do important work in terms of public health, while doing such important work, they neglect their own health. Commissioner Vipin Paliwal while guiding the sanitation workshop said that just as the health of a person who works at home should be good, similarly the health of sanitation workers who are sanitation warriors should be good.
In preparation for Swachh Bharat Divas, the annual Swachhta Hi Seva (SHS) fortnight has been organized by Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban and Rural from 15th September to 2nd October 2023. The fortnight aims to mobilize citizen participation across the country through various initiatives like Bharatiya Swachhta League 2.0, Safai Mitra Safety Camps and Collective Sanitation Mission. In accordance with this, Chandrapur Municipal Corporation organized a sanitation workshop for sanitation workers in Municipal Hall on 25th September.
In the said workshop, the importance of cleanliness and what precautions should be taken by the employees while doing cleaning work, what are the schemes of the government for them, how can they be benefited, what are the provident funds, what are the laws on the side of sanitation workers, what modern education can be obtained regarding cleanliness and what employment can be obtained through it. Safaimitra was given guidance regarding the production.
It was told through power point presentation that vaccination of the workers’ children is necessary as vaccination is a cover of health through Municipal Health Department. On this occasion, Dr. Ashwini Bharat, Dr. Arva Laheri, Dr. Snehal Pofli, Dr. Yogeswari Gadge conducted a health check-up of the employees under the leadership of Medical Health Officer Dr. Vanita Gargelwar. In this, all types of blood tests, diabetes, blood pressure, nose, ear, throat, eye tests were conducted and also the Abha card of all the employees who were examined was also removed to keep their health information safe online.
The workshop was attended by Commissioner Vipin Paliwal, Deputy Commissioner Mangesh Khawle, Assistant Commissioner of EPFO (Employees Provident Fund Organization) Milind Deulkar, ESIC Mentors from Employees State Insurance Association Gajanan Titarmare and PP Nagdeve, Prasanna Yewalkar from Chem Foundation, Pune, All India Institute of Local Self Government Nagpur Regional Director Jayant Pathak guided the employees on this occasion.
Dr. Amol Shelke, Dr. Vanita Gargelwar, all sanitation inspectors and sanitation workers of the municipality were present in large numbers in the said workshop.
