Chandrapur : The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) Student Chapter Installation Ceremony and Event Inauguration was successfully organized at Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering, Research and Technology (RCERT), Chandrapur, under the patronage of Sardar Patel Memorial Society (Trust). The program was held at the college auditorium onwards with the objective of promoting technical excellence, leadership skills, and professional development among students.
The program commenced with the National Anthem followed by the ceremonial Lighting of the Lamp. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. P. Sangeetha, ISTE Staff Advisor, who highlighted the importance of ISTE in enhancing students’ technical knowledge and encouraging participation in co-curricular and professional activities. She also informed about various events organized during the two-day program, including AI Ideathon, Project Exhibition, Talent Hunt, Turncoat Debate, Quiz Quest, Debate Competition, Mock Interview, Digital Poster Design, Logo Design Challenge, and Tech Pictionary.
The event was graced by Shri Swapan Chandra Das, General Manager, Central Workshop, Tadali, WCL, Chandrapur, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he motivated students to achieve their goals through dedication, teamwork, and professional ethics, while sharing valuable insights from his professional experiences.
Dr. Anil Z. Chitade, Principal, RCERT Chandrapur, delivered an inspiring address emphasizing the need to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements and encouraged students to actively participate in ISTE activities.
The ISTE Student Chapter Installation Ceremony included an oath-taking session for the newly appointed office bearers, followed by badge distribution, formally entrusting them with their responsibilities.
The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr. Amit Khobragade, ISTE Student Chairman, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, Principal, faculty members, and students for their support and participation.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and marked a strong beginning for ISTE Student Chapter activities for the academic year 2025–26.
