Since the two community festivals fall on the same day on 28th September

Restrictions on flags, pylons, welcome gates, arches, hoardings, banners, posters of any kind

Chandrapur : Ganeshotsav which started from 19th September is saying goodbye on Anant Chaturdashi i.e. 28th September, but since Eid-e-Milad is also celebrated on the same day, no one should erect any kind of banners, welcome gates, arches, flags on that day to avoid any kind of controversy. Such an appeal is being made by the Chandrapur Municipal Corporation.

Ganeshotsav is celebrated in the city with great fervor, the enthusiasm that started from the establishment is on the verge of immersion day. As about one lakh people are participating in Visarjan Yatra, there is no space even to stand on the streets of the city. During the immersion procession, a large Ganesha Mandal, political, social parties, charitable organizations take part in the main processions of the main intersections of the city, Darshani Marg, Mahatma Gandhi Road from Pathanpura Gate to Jatpura Gate, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Statue to Binba Gate, Ankleshwar Gate to Gandhi Chowk and Kasturba Road. Flags, pylons, electric lighting, welcome gates, arches, hoardings, banners, posters are erected on the routes and in the area.

This year, the Eid-e-Milad festival of the Muslim community is also celebrated, so both the festivals are coming on the same day. As it is customary to take out processions in both the festivals, flags, pylons, electric lights, welcome gates, arches, hoardings, banners, posters are erected by both the communities. Since both the festivals are on the same day, the possibility of accidental breaking, partial damage, loss of flags, pylons, arches, hoardings, banners, posters etc. cannot be ruled out.

As there is a possibility of disruption of law and order due to such types, on September 28, all types of flags, pylons, electric lighting, welcome gates, arches, hoardings, banners, posters are being banned and as the said restrictions are important in terms of social harmony, citizens are requested to cooperate in this. It is being done by Chandrapur Municipal Corporation Administration.
