Chandrapur : In order to control the number of stray, homeless and stray dogs in the city, eliminate rabies and prevent human-animal conflict, a dog vaccination and sterilization campaign is underway by Chandrapur Municipal Corporation and Pyar Foundation. It is requested to contact the given number.
Stray dogs are a serious problem in many places. Running behind the car, biting, running over the body at night due to accidents etc. are caused by these stray dogs. Due to the bites of rabid dogs, many people have to lose their lives or need multiple injections to avoid rabies. According to Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960 and Animal Birth Control Act 2001 killing of dogs is prohibited. But the number of stray dogs is increasing day by day. The said campaign is being implemented by Chandrapur Municipality to bring this under control.
The Petanity and Animal Rehabilitators (Pyaar) Foundation has been entrusted with the responsibility of sterilization of stray dogs in the city. Since there are approximately 8 to 9 thousand stray dogs in the city and their number is increasing, sterilization work has been undertaken. So far 1800 dogs have been sterilized by the municipality.
If you want to sterilize and vaccinate the stray dogs in your area, Chandrapur Municipal Corporation is appealing to give the said information to the mobile number 7028882889.
