Ghugus (Chandrapur): Continuing the tradition of every year, Ghugus, Nakoda, Rayatwari, Babupet, Mahakali Nagari, Sasti Doptala, Ballarshah and other areas of Chandrapur district celebrated Saddula Bathukamma on the last day of the nine-day flower festival on Sunday, 22 October 2023. Was celebrated on a grand scale in the district. Apart from singing songs, women and girls dressed in colorful Langa-oni, sarees and jewelery also played Saddula Bathukamma by systematically arranging flowers and circling around Gauri Mata. And immersed Saddula Bathukamma in nearby rivers and ponds. After immersing the Bathukamma, the women shared ‘Sattu Pindi’ with each other.
On the other hand, elaborate arrangements for the festival were made by social workers for the convenience of women. Along with leveling the ground, lighting, drinking water and other arrangements were made at the sports venues.
